Can anyone recommend a good source of undressed dolls that are reasonable priced and have good faces ? I know that there are quite a few cheaper clothed ones on the net, but have yet to find any that I can make costumes for myself, and as much as I love the artisan ones in the magazines they are beyond my pocket. Any ideas welcome.

Hi Angie I am just starting out but the Heidi Ott ones seem to be very popular, bt I have had a couple dressed ones from Clara Cribb. She also does undressed ones I think they ae roughly about £16 but the ones I have have beautiful faces. She does have some on ebay from time to time.

Hi! I belong to a wonderful mini doll list! Mini Doll List It's a goup of mostly women from around the world who make and dress only miniature dolls! There are many on the list who also sell kits for dolls, some with poainted faces and some just blanks so you can paint them yourself. There are lots of contests and games and the prizes are great! I have won two dolls from famous doll makers! Beginners are welcomed with open arms and treated as equals. There are even free classes in wigging and other things. There is also an off shoot group called the Posse (I'm a member) who meets on Thursday and Sunday in the classroom for an open chat session. This is the only place where building and dollhouse discussions is allowed! The list is for dolls only! LOL! Otherwise you get your hand spanked! The Posse is a great group! We are a bunch of instigators from around the world and we are always getting into trouble for something! LOL! Anyway, check out that link and join the list! if you want to make dolls, that's the place to be! Heather

Hi Heather, just read your reply to Angie and have had a quick peak at the doll site you recommended, fabulous will be back for another look when time permits. I have been making and dressing dolls for years porcelain and later fimo, lots of old wrinklies turned up hence the day care centre I have done. It is always good to get more inspiation and this site should do that. Many thanks all Best wishes Louisas Nan

I have been buried in my sewing room for the past 3 days! I have 5 med and 4 woman to dress and I am having a ball! All of my clothing is removable which makes it even more fun! My special doll is Jazzy! She is featured on my blog. She is a seamstress and quilter. Lately she has been outfitting the trailer park where she lives, but she used to dress the rock and roll stars of the past! Quite a life she used to live! Yes, I guess I'm a bit nuts! LOL! She and I carry on all kinds of conversations while I am dressing the other dolls! Today, Jazzy is wearing her new witch costume I made her for the Witch and Wizard Ball we will be having when out new castle is finished! So I am busy dressing the wizards and witches in all of their finest silks, velvets and beads! I will post pictures when I am done! Heather
