Little is known about the lady who last owned this house. Her name was Mrs Walter Tate and the house is named after her. It was made in Dorset and is said to have been modelled on an 18th century Dorset house. It is a complex structure which comes apart in several sections so that the owner could take it on her travels often long. The baby house was the pride and joy of the mistress of the house....

Today I decided to have a play-day. I had made some shoeboxes for slippers I had stitched , and this got my mini-motor purring .

So decided to make wire flowers. I took several classes from Shelly Norris on how to make them , and as they are sent out in PDF's I had several of those still knocking around , waiting to be made up .

Here is the first set :

You will find some more info via my blog, and a link to Shelly's blog : http://ellyinamsterdam.blogspot.com/

Second set will be up ...

http://oddfae.deviantart.com/art/Steampunk-Oddfae-114897074

The artist's comments read:

One-of-a-kind artist piece with onyx bead eyes, hand-sculpted of my own blend of polymer clay into a pocketwatch case, and detailed with powdered pigments and artists' acrylics. This Oddfae's tiny little brass goggles are handmade by me from brass tubes and watch parts. He wears a watch gear over his heart.

Just look what a bloke can accomplish! Whereas N American news services are full of doom, gloom, murder & mayhem, the BBC shrinks their reports into a BBC minicast.
Thomas Doyle makes some unique & disturbing scenes. I've never heard of him before. His work is very well done.
Nice to see that miniatures are expanding more into art world than ever before

I love this collection. An old fashioned policeman, a horse and police carriage. It's fantastic, and a bargain at the Buy It Now price.

There are a lot more pictures. This is an item on Ebay UK but the seller will ship worldwide. The seller is also a professional miniature artisan who attends doll house shows. She also has more dolls in her store.
