How many paint brushes have you gone through because the paint has dried on them because you didn't go to the garage/ shed to get the paint thinners?

Just keep a small container of Vegetable Oil near by and place brushes in it. When you need to clean, massage oil through bristles and then massage in washing-up-liquid and then rinse in warm water! It works, don't know how (somebody will probably explain it, but I don't need to know the where fors, just know it works) obviously it won't work ...

Most of you will know this but for newbies it can save a lot of frustration and money, I only remembered about it because I opened a new tube of glue this afternoon and it is something I do automatically

When opening a new tube of glue or a jar of paint that has a screw top, or a nail varnish bottle for that matter, either in the mini or real life, smear the threads on the top with Vaseline (Petroleum Jelly) ...

Hi

I love to make hats, and in my old dolls house (shown somewhere in here) i will have a shop with hats.

I have made a few, but too many to show off here, so take a look at my website:

http://www.123hjemmeside.dk/miniatureverden

Choose the site "Hatte".

You may also, of course, write in my visitors' book - choose the site "Skriv i min gæstebog"

Is any of you into hats??

I recently bought a disc via Ebay on dolls house wallpaper and on it was the following on how to make lucite bottles etc by Dr. Bob. I haven't tried this as I don't know what lucite is (possibly an American product/term as the article talks about cents). Anyway I thought that it might be interesting for other members.

Make Lucite Bottles, Jars and Glassware

This is a DIY approach to making bottles/jars and glassware at a fraction of the cost for purchased items. ...
