I am in the process of making a 1:24 rose garden and would like to add a rose arbor to it. It will be mostly covered with roses but part of it may show. Sure would appreciate any ideas for constructing it.

Skipper, Are you thinking of making the whole thing from scratch? I have found Fimo very good for making roses. You can follow cake decorating instructions for making flowers. For the arbor you could use match sticks. Balsa wood could also be used for creating the curved bits, it's easy to cut with a craft knife.

I haven't tried to make FIMO roses but I used to decorate cakes. I am going to try it. What a great idea you gave me. Thanks for the response.

Skipper, for your rose abour the curved mesh bit could be made out of plastic canvas, the frame could possibly be made from armature wire or thickish cake decorating wires? Dawn
