| Subject: Large scale Phillips 66 station Sun Mar 31, 2013 1:16 pm | |
| I am at a loss as to how to post photos and as a newbie I cannot post links to my Flickr account.
The link to my Flickr set on building my Phillips 66 station in 1/8th scale modified to get around the posting restrictions:
Start with "www dot flickr dot com" then add /photos/56393012@N06/sets/72157631823969089/
As a live steam model railroader I model in 1/8th scale and must build things to withstand the outdoors. This is a first attempt at a weather resistant building. The supporting structure is OSB (orient stranded board) aka chipboard. The clapboard siding is cut from strips of pine and glued to the outside of the OSB. The chimney is of PVC lumber with the brick morter lines routed in with a Dremel tool. The Pickup truck seen in some of the photos is also to 1/8th scale. John T | |
